U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s eldest son met with a diplomats, politicians and businesspeople last month at a forum focused in part on finding a solution to the Syrian conflict through cooperation with Russia.

Elder son of the US President-elect Donald Trump Jr carried out private talks with diplomats, businessmen and politicians in Paris, where they discussed possible ways of cooperation with Russia on Syria. The meeting was held on 11 October at the Ritz hotel, 30 politicians and businessmen took part. In particular, Randa Kassis, leader of the moderate Syrian opposition, was present. Before that she used to speak for cooperation with Russia and Bashar al-Assad. On 22 November she claimed in an interview with Al-Jazeera: ‘Russia has interfered to save the country, for the sake of Syria.
